Abilities
Focus
Focus is an extension of the basic concentration mechanic. Through meditation and self-reflection, you have expanded ability to concentrate your mind beyond normal limits.
At rank 1, you gain 1 Focus, and 1 more each rank thereafter.
Think of Focus as extra concentration slots. With 1 Focus, you can concentrate on two powers at a time.
Many psionic powers require concentration. Some require multiple slots of concentration, and will be listed as "concentration (2 slots)" or similar.
Some psionic powers have powerful modes of operation that require expending Focus. A power that expends n points of Focus reduces your Focus by that amount. So, if you have 2 Focus, you can expend two 1-Focus powers, or one 2-Focus power. In fact, you can overextend, expending your baseline concentration stat itself, leaving you unable to concentrate on anything.
If a power expends Focus and requires concentration, you must have enough unexpended Focus or baseline concentration to maintain the power after expending.
Some psionic powers require you to be in a "Focused" state. This means you have at least one unexpended Focus (not your baseline concentration).
There are rank 0 powers in every school that help you gain Focus. You can also use the Meditate action to enter a Focused state:
''Meditate'': At-will, std; you meditate, gaining 1 Focus, or restoring your baseline concentration if expended.

Ki Strike
Unarmed attacks inflict heavy lethal damage and bonuses similar to blacksmithing upgrades
Rank 2: Iron Fist: your fist is hard as iron and can break through stone.
Rank 3: Adamant Fist: your fist is harder than iron and can break metal.
Rank 4: Diamond Fist: your fist is harder than diamond and can break through almost anything.
Rank 5: Plum Blossom Fist: your fist is as hard as a meteorite and can break through the fabric of reality itself.
You can make ranged attacks with your unarmed strikes. Hadouken!
Iron Body
Gain +4 natural armor per rank
Gain advantage vs poison and disease, and resist their damage
Rank 2: resist non-magical physical damage

Metamorphosis
Change your physical form--its capabilities, size, and appearance.

Wholeness of Body
Rank 1: transfer HP, disease, poison, etc between yourself and a target you touch
Rank 2: short rest heals you like a long rest
Rank 3: you can lead your party in meditation to get the benefits of a long rest in a short rest, once per long rest
Rank 4: you can raise a recently deceased creature by touch
Rank 5: you can resurrect yourself

At-will, swift, concentration; you create two portals, both within line of sight and effect. Each is linked to the other. Whatever passes through one comes out the other, with momentum intact (relative to the portal). The portals are large enough for a projectile, a Tiny creature, or a Small creature using Acrobatics.

Astral Construct
There's a whole modular system of abilities and traits that you can give your construct, and naturally you get more points and cooler options at higher ranks.
Metaphysical Weapon
Rank 1: create a martial weapon from nothing, or enhance a weapon you are holding with magical properties (e.g. flaming, frost, shock, etc)
Rank 2+: better enhancements
Photokinesis
Rank 1: create light, colors, holograms, etc. You can blind and dazzle, create illusions, etc. You can also suppress light.
Rank 2: create hard light, which behaves like a solid object. Something like walls of force but not indestructible, and with more complex shapes possible.
Rank 3: powerful lasers, x-rays and gamma rays, etc.
Psychic Defense
Rank 1: psychic shield grants advantage to mental saves, and psychic armor that absorbs psychic damage.
Rank 2: Empty Mind: a technique that nullifies all hostile mental effects, but ties up your concentration while doing so.
Rank 3: Intellect Fortress: create a psychic bastion around an ally, granting them powerful psychic defenses.
Rank 4: Tower of Iron Will: an aura that grants powerful mental defenses to all allies in the area.
