Precise Spell

When you cast an area spell, you can exclude one square per rank from the effect. This allows you to avoid hitting allies or other unintended targets within the area of effect.

Alternatively, you can exclude as many squares as you want, but your spellcasting ability score suffers Strain for 1 round after casting the spell.
