Search Criteria
- DC +2: 100 yards, roughly 'same dungeon' or 'same village' | A specific person, place, or object that is familiar to you, such as your fellow PC, your spellbook, or your own blood, stuck to an enemy's dagger
- DC +4: A specific person, place, or object that you have seen in person at least once, such as a friend you met in town, a landmark you passed on the road, or a weapon you used in combat. You must have a proper noun or epithet to describe them; this is a name or label at least someone in the world would understand, like 'the town drunk' or 'the old oak tree'
- DC +6: A specific person, place, or object that you are able to produce a proper noun or name for, even if you've never seen it/them. You might search for "John, the blacksmith of Redbrook" or "the capital city of the kingdom of Eldoria". You must have at least heard of the target, and have a name for it, but you don't need to have seen it in person.
- DC +8: A specific person, place, or object that you can describe in factual terms, even if you aren't sure if they or it even exists. For instance, you could search for "the nearest invisible enemy in this dungeon" or "the most valuable treasure in this vault", or even "the most gullible mark in this city".
- DC +10: Pretty much anything.
