The illusion can be up to a 10-foot cube in size and can depict any visual scene—an object, a creature, a wall, a pile of treasure, etc. The image has no sound, smell, or physical substance. A creature that interacts with the illusion or examines it closely can make an Intelligence check against your spell DC to recognize it as fake.
- DC +2: the illusion includes simple, looping motion (a flickering candle, a swaying curtain, a breathing creature).
- DC +2: increase the maximum size to a 20-foot cube (stackable doublings).
- DC +4: the illusion includes appropriate sound and smell.
