At-will, standard action, concentration, DC 23+; you overlay a large area with a persistent illusion that replaces the appearance of the terrain, structures, and ambient conditions within it. A barren field can appear as a dense forest, a ruined castle can appear intact and inhabited, or a mountain pass can appear as a sheer cliff. The illusion covers an area up to 1 mile in diameter.
- The illusion affects all senses: sight, sound, smell, and temperature. Creatures within the area experience it as real terrain—they feel grass underfoot, hear birds singing, smell flowers—until they physically encounter a contradiction (walking into an illusory wall that isn't there, etc).
- DC +4: the illusion is sustained (24 hours) without concentration.
- DC +8: the illusion is permanent until dispelled.
- DC +4: the area increases to a 10-mile diameter.
