Seeking Star

At-will, swift, concentration, DC 17+; you conjure a Guiding Star, and whisper to it the name or identifier of what you seek (see below for guidelines). If you pass the casting check, the star begins to fly toward the target, if within maximum range (see below). The star can find the target even if it is invisible or hiding behind total cover, as long as it is within range. The star moves up to 10 squares per round, but it will pause if it gets to the edge of your range, waiting for you to catch up. If you move the other way, putting it out of range, it will attempt to stay in range (same logic as following a target with Guiding Bolt), and only if cannot do that will the effect end.

The base DC is 17, plus modifiers for Search Criteria and Max Range.

If you have any magical bonuses to speed, or magical means of teleportation, the star shares them. For instance, if you have a spell that makes you fly at 100 mph, so can the star. When you teleport, it teleports with you automatically.
