You can specify how they should be filed: by date, by author, by subject, by relevance to a query you specify, etc. At DC 15, this works on up to a single shelf's worth of material. The spell can identify and surface specific information you're looking for within the collection.

DC +2: increase to a full bookcase (stackable: +2 per order of magnitude up to an entire library at DC 21).
DC +4: the spell also produces a written index or summary of the collection contents.
