Mens Quaerens

At-will, standard action, concentration, DC 17+; you probe a creature's deep memories, searching for specific information. The target must be within 30 feet. The creature must make a Wisdom save; on failure, you can search its memories for a specific topic, person, or event. You experience the memories as the target experienced them—sights, sounds, and emotions. Each round of concentration reveals one significant memory.

• On a successful save, the target is aware of the intrusion and you learn nothing.
• DC +2: the target has disadvantage on the save.
• DC +4: you can implant a false memory while probing (the target believes it is genuine). An implanted memory can be discovered and removed with Purgatio Animae.
